Banned!
I think Animal Farm was banned because of the politics.. In the book there are a lot of politics, about things you wouldn't imagine.. The pigs take control and try to "over rule" all of the other animals.. It is a very good book, and I do think that it should be read in schools.. If I was a teacher and I had older kids I woud have them to read it, but I think it would hve to be for older kids. The youngest myself would go would be softmore, so that when they would read it they would actually understand the themes.. There is also a movie that goes along with Animal Farm.. It is a good movie!!
The real reason it was banned!
Animal Farm is an allegory for the rise and decline of socialism in the Soviet Union... It was banned in the USSR until the 1980s for being anti-Communist but also banned in the USA for the Communist text the introduction...
